There is a huge amount of information available on ADHD.  From academic research through to wacky pieces by influencers.  From books to TikTok.  But what can you trust and what is useful?
When I was first diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 58, I wanted to find out more.  More about ADHD and more about myself.
That is when this idea was born.  To provide trustworthy, evidence-based information, practical resources, and compassionate guidance for adults navigating life after an ADHD diagnosis.
I hope you find it useful.

Change starts with understanding

Trusted information, practical strategies and compassionate support for adults with ADHD—or those wondering if they might have it.

Whether you're struggling with focus, organisation, procrastination, emotional overwhelm or simply feeling that life is harder than it should be, you're not alone. Many adults discover their ADHD later in life and finally find an explanation for challenges they've faced for years.

At Clarity After Chaos, you'll find evidence-based information, self-help resources and guidance designed to help you better understand your brain, identify your strengths, and develop strategies that work for you.

Because understanding yourself is the first step towards thriving.

About me

My name is Mike and I was diagnosed with ADHD three years ago at the age of 58.  The diagnosis had a profound impact on me.  For the first time in my life, I started to get an understanding of why I was how I am.  Why, I responded to people in certain ways,

I have worked in the voluntary sector for most of my career with the past 25 years as a CEO for a number of organisations.  I am currently training as an ADHD Coach as I felt that I could have a positive impact on people who, like me, have come to a diagnosis of ADHD later in life.

This site is about high quality information, collated so that it is easy to understand and useful in a sea of misinformation.  Want to know more?  You can contact me here.

Think you might have ADHD?

Find out more here.  This is not a diagnostic test or questionnaire that will pinpoint whether you have ADHD or not - only an experienced clinician can do that.  But there is information on signs, impact and how you might have been affected.  Then it is up to you to decide or - if you want a diagnosis - get in touch with a clinician.  If you are in the UK, we have included information on how you can do that.

Remember: Everyone is different and ADHD will show up in different ways for different people.

It’s time to find out more and take control of your life
